SMS alert for an online store?

Good afternoon! For online store managers, it is necessary to make a sound notification about the arrival of a new order. The sound should be loud enough to be heard, but not annoying.
Are there devices that, for example, as a result of receiving an SMS message or an HTTP request, are able to play a sound notification. Interested in a stationary device, not a phone or pager. It is desirable that it be cheap :-) Thanks in advance!

I would screw on a gBoard scarf for processing SMS messages , iBoard for HTTP requests , and Shield MaTrix for displaying information and "SQUICK" (I would also spin some other useful information on it). Organize the interaction of all modules wirelessly using the nRF24l01+ module. This approach will then allow you to tighten the system as you like.

Cool stuff, I'll have to make one myself.

I myself solved a similar problem like this: raised the ICQ of the bot, and when an order arrived, a url like site.com/send_icq.php?str=Order was called and a notification from the bot was sent to all ICQ managers (and already in the same QIP, you can set up a loud sound when accepting messages from this number), since the managers always have ICQ running so as not to fence the garden ... if interested, I can describe or post the bot in a personal message ...

Computer with speakers. On it, for example, put Linux, a bunch of Apache + PHP and mplayer.
Another, cheaper option is a bunch of a simple phone, microphone and speakers. Notification, of course, by SMS. If you put it in a good case, then it will not be so easy to drag it away.
