Small Linux distribution with persistence support?
I used Tiny Core Linux for a long time, it suits me with absolutely everything, but I still could not achieve full-fledged Russification - Firefox displays Russian sites with krakozyabrs, Russian characters are displayed as krakozyabrs in text editors, etc.
Therefore, I am looking for a distribution that could natively UTF-8 without problems displaying localized fonts (some must be preinstalled) and that would definitely support persistence - for example, the ability to load the entire home folder into memory, work with it as if it were a folder on a disk and upon completion of work (or on command) could dump its contents to disk (a flash drive will serve as a disk).
I came across SliTaz Linux... I'm also aware of Puppy Linux, I even tried to install it, but as far as I heard, it hasn't been supported for a long time.
Has anyone dealt with small Linux distros with unicode support? Can you recommend something?
