Slow internet on Ubuntu 16.04.1, what to do?

Good evening toaster users.
I decided to install Ubuntu on my old pitch as a second system (Proc: amd x2 220, RAM: 4gb, vidyuha: geforce gtx 560ti.) I
use wired Internet .. I created a dsl connection, entered my login and password, did not touch the rest of the windows, connected. The
tabs of search services, well, YouTube, opened quite quickly, the rest of the sites (VK, well, or googled queries) refused to open at all (it took a very long time to load, then patience ran out and mats were used, what is wrong with this ubunta .. .).
What to do?

@elcanner

well 1) - on dsl it's not fast in itself ...
2) if I understand it was ubuntu with unity + if chrome is also installed as a browser, then look towards the free frame. And the fact that the rest of the drolgo sites open is probably already starting to clog swap on, as I understand it, far from being the fastest hdd.
What to do?:
1) check the loading of ram / cpu / hddio with all sorts of htop / free -m and iotop
2) stop mocking the old man with ubuntu and put something suitable for him ... at least xubuntu (+ a lot of all sorts of lightweight distros yes, google help)

I myself am sitting on adsl, I have not seen a problem with slowing down the speed.
1) iftop - checks the load on the network, check if the network is eating.
2) Do a traceroute google.com write the values to a file. Stop the GUI with sudo service gdm stop (or your other manager), in the traceroute google.com console and compare the values. Are there differences? Perhaps there is some garbage in the GUI.
3) Change your browser.
4) Are you behind a proxy?
