How to add files to iso image like desktop?

I know how to add files. I have an iso image of kali linux. I want to make it so that when I log in through it, my desktop still has, for example, a text file. Where should I add this file, in which folder?

Click on /home//Desktop.
But, most likely, not everything is so simple and there is some kind of squashfs, which is read-only and needs to be cut only in Linux, so the idea is doomed to failure.
