Slack on Ubuntu, why can't I upload files?

The first time I see Ubuntu.
I installed Slack, everything works, but when I try to download any PNG or JPG, I see a whack:

An attempt to download a ZIP ends with the same: Unsupported file, try a ZIP.
I ship to the same channel from the Mac - everything is fine.
Pictures in the channel are visible, they can be clicked, shared, etc.
Googling on the issue has yielded no results.
Kind people! We ourselves are not local, help, and so on, what is necessary in such cases.

If the folder name contains Russian characters, then it will not load from it.
Move the file to another folder.
