Why doesn't wi-fi work in xubuntu 15.xx?

I choose my connection, enter the password, press confirmation, the window disappears and reappears with exactly the same text. But there is no internet. I connected the cord from wi-fi and the connection was immediately established.
What do you need to make wi-fi work? I didn’t install anything myself, because it seems that you don’t need to install drivers or something. It used to work like hell. What can be wrong?
