Site structure how?

Good afternoon dear toasters. A serious project is on the horizon - website redesign! Please help!
Subject sale of equipment (official dealers of foreign colleagues). The site is very loaded in design, not adaptive, it is not at all clear what it offers. And it seems that the articles are all well-written, reflect the essence, but still something is not right. It was probably made in 2010.
In general, you need to change the coordinate design, the location of information blocks, etc.
I myself make up the usual typical sites, which are full of carbon copies, for example, on temporest, but I want to do something really worthwhile!
Tell me where to get the training material, about how to create the right website design, so that all blocks of information are in the right place, that from the main page, the content of the site leads to action (not a stupid form).
I understand that there is ui / ux, but everywhere it is written in an abstract way about it.
Thank you!

Hello! Everywhere it is written abstractly, because the question is this. You see, there are no universal pills. Pay attention to accents. What is the most important thing on the article page (for the user, of course. Business goals are known by default ;) )? What about the product page? On the main?
From your question, it seemed to me that you are confused and have no idea where to start, so I won’t recommend books to you - they won’t help.
In my opinion, if you have already taken the project, then it is already too late to smoke books from cover to cover.
It is better to look at the structure of cool and successful competitor sites. What is done well and what is bad? How can this "bad" be improved. In a word, collect information from real, working projects today that bring money to someone. Build a prototype based on this information.
This will help you structure your thoughts and form specific questions, to which Yasha and Google will give quite relevant answers. Good luck!

@Aleksa-s

There is no textbook, where it will be specifically written how to do it right.
Think about who the target audience is and what information they need in the first place. What will hook. What customer problem are you solving and how the benefits of the product contribute to it.
