It is necessary that the elements:

• have been left aligned
  
• if there are enough of them, then they should all fit, but the text can be cut off with ellipsis (text-overflow: ellipsis)
  

Made using

display: table;
width: 100%; 
table-layout: fixed;

but so they are spread across the width.
