Shutdown server with MS SQL 2005 + 1C
Good day.
There is a server with base 1C which turns on MS Windows 2003 Ent x64 + MS SQL 2005 Standard. When we start to reboot or turn it off, it does not shut down . You have to turn it off remotely (via HP iLO2), which, in fact, is not very good. the screws on the server, though good, only, I think not so much, but I don’t care at all about it. Here.
Comrades programmers-sysadmins!
Could you tell me how to complete the work in this situation more correctly? Maybe there is some kind of service to complete, or something else terrible and cruel to do .

You need to profile, IMHO it unloads MSSQL from the swap, but if the screws are good, there may be something internal to SQL itself (attempts to close connections, alters, etc)
0. how exactly is it not overloaded? ignore attempts? hangs for a long time?
1. So you look at the logs why it does not reboot.
2. try to install it like this: "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\ShutdownWarningDialogTimeout",1, "REG_DWORD"
and the picture is from Windows 98 :)
