Should you overclock your laptop?

Laptop: hp compaq cq-50 intel pentium dual CPU T3200 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00 GHz.
Now the average temperature is quite normal:

speed of the processor is a little dissatisfied. Will there be a significant increase if the frequency were 2.3, for example?

It doesn’t make sense, it’s not suitable for any kind of overclocking, even if bios allows it, you won’t squeeze it out of it, you shouldn’t get dirty, but there are chances to burn it if you programmatically drive it.
Moreover, such models and they are produced on the site 34 not with pure hemp but with celeron

You should buy yourself a new computer.
Any i3 (except perhaps the super-low voltage U series) will be 2-4 times faster than the T3200, not to mention the i5, 4-6 times faster there. And laptops with i5 are sold quite inexpensively.

After overclocking, the increase will be insignificant, but the temperature can rise significantly. Moreover, it is unlikely that the cooling system will be able to overpower this temperature.

Firstly, you need to measure at maximum CPU + GPU load
. Secondly, you need to make sure that Core0 and Core1 measure the temperature of the cores, and not something else.
Thirdly, you need to find out the critical temperature of the processor. It can vary greatly for different models.
After that, you can try and see the results.
And you need to monitor all temperatures, and not just the temperature of the processor. With overclocking of the processor, both the overall temperature in the case will increase, and the load on the processor power converter and on the PSU will increase. This must also be taken into account.
And of course, everything is at your own peril and risk. You can also burn it. And maybe it will work for another 5 years

It strongly depends on the tasks ... For example, I installed an SSD and the compilation time was reduced by two or more times (still in shock), and for some "recompilation" (sbt) operations up to 40 times
