Should jQuery Mobile be used for the mobile version of the site?

You need to create an adaptive website-calculator.
I have not made websites for several years.
Previously, I used for mobile versions - jQuery Mobile (there are touch events that make pressing a button on a smartphone much "tastier").
The question is what has changed over the years? Is it worth building a simple jQuery Mobile website in 2021, or are there other options?

Do what you want. The main thing is that you have a convenient and working product. Ordinary users won't say "yuck, this is Jacquery Mobile, I'm getting out."

if we are talking about layout, then nwitter Bootstrap is enough,
and if it is javascript, then any solution will work
