Should I turn off my laptop at night?

At night, a laptop on Windows 10 is not used. I read many times that turning on / off the computer heavily loads the components. In order for the laptop to last as long as possible, should it be turned off at night, or is it better to just put it to sleep? Which of the two "injures" the computer less over time?

There is no noticeable difference between sleep and shutdown, just in one case voltage is applied to the RAM, in the other it is not. At the same time, of all the components of the system, memory is one of the most reliable in principle. Almost everything else is likely to fail much sooner.
From the point of view of electronic components, two things are dangerous.
The mechanical components are not much different in this regard: it is much less traumatic for a fan spindle or a hard drive to maintain the same rotational speed than to accelerate after a stop.
If the choice is between shutdown/sleep and constant operation, I would rather turn it off - the battery will last longer. In general, if you handle equipment normally, then it will become obsolete much earlier than it will break.

I always send to sleep. I turn it off only when I need to switch to another OS. I think if you turn it off completely, then this will not add much to the shelf life of the laptop, if at all. For me, it's generally a matter of habit. Well, if you want, then turn it off, theoretically it's better for a laptop.
