Should I transfer to VMK MSU?
I am finishing my first year (mathematician-programmer - PMI), I study simply, but the university is not the most prestigious, not in Moscow. Botal not weakly this time the program forward and in breadth (4-5 hours a day, in addition to the university, and according to the program of the VMK), thinking about transferring to the MSU VMK (it was difficult after the exam, and it would hardly have been written for 85). But then I suddenly thought about the fact that I had been looking at the problem books for matan and linal for a year and actually nothing for programming and algorithms, that's the essence of the question: is it worth it now being translated? To catch up with their program, to finish exams, not only will it be a load (although I think I can do it), but this is again another year in textbooks and only (and again, purely mathematical disciplines without programming). How important is the prestige and the university itself for a programmer? How good is VMK if anyone knows? Help me choose please

For example, here's what I tell students in a _technologies of programming_ course:
Language and OS are the tools, and the application area is your prof. specialization,
for example, developing services for smartphones and tablets based on some kind of
financial or corporate analytics (you are a specialist in the latter
or are part of a team of such, but you know how to do it with some kind of web
tools.
And programming itself can be divided into 4 areas:
( to specialize in the right tools)
[Scientific:]
any
CAD/CAM/CAE modeling, including big data, general purpose, machine-lening,
utility, Tooles, parallel, etc.;
network, http-service, client-server, front/back end,
incl. server DBMS;
[Real-time:]
industrial technology controllers, robots, drones, combat / consumer embedded systems,
where interrupts are processed from external influences, from all sorts of sensors
and actuators ...;
["Toy":]
all sorts of games for all sorts of gadgets.
Then, before talking about the university, think about what is closer to you in life,
according to intuition. Go there, it is clear from the mathematics, there is
nowhere for concrete physics to go!
Studied at VMK. The program is complex, mathematics is dark. If you pass exams on your own, it's to sit and work, work ... So far, mathematics is very little useful in work. There were algorithms and programming too, but 10 times less than linal, matan, matfiz, diffurov ... If I had the opportunity to choose now, I would go to Baumanka, closer to iron - there is cryptography, radio engineering (and the same mathematics)
