Should I study CMS?

Is it worth studying work in popular CMS? Or should I start by learning PHP right away? Many employers require the ability to work in Joomla or Wordpress, as well as 1-C Bitrix. But more I want to implement projects written from and to, and not use a ready-made solution. The essence of the question: do all employers require the ability to work in popular CMS? Or is it better to learn PHP, and then already knowing this language or understanding the basic structure, it will be possible to understand any CMS written in PHP?

Of course, you should first learn the PHP language, and then take on the CMS.
Without learning PHP, understanding what is happening in the CMS will be at least incomplete.
And it depends on the employer.
Or it is a web studio that develops standard sites on popular CMS. Sometimes it gets boring to do the same thing.
Either web applications, or internal projects of the employer (which is more interesting). There knowledge of CMS is not required, but mainly various PHP frameworks are required
