Should I restore the site or create a new one?

Hello.
I have a website, it is almost 5 years old. In the last 1.5 years, it has practically not been replenished, and for the last 2 months it has not worked at all, because. The domain was disabled for non-payment.
I have two questions:
1) Is it easier to raise the old site or create a new one? What are the advantages of restoring the site and continuing to work with it, and do they even have these advantages?
2) Is it really bad that the domain hasn't worked for 2 whole months?

Restore your domain and website, why create a new one? more headache .. and even more so the old address is saved by people, and in search engines .. 2 months is not so much

two months of non-payment - depends on the zone. The domain may already be free for registration now, it may be in a state of waiting for restoration from the client ... You would first clarify what is happening with your domain now

Restore. Search engines visit often only frequently updated sites. If yours was in the rarely updated category, then Yandex and Goga also visited you once or twice a month. Well, they found your site down 2-4 times, it's okay. Positions could be thrown off, but otherwise, after the restoration, everything will be ok.
