Should I remove a site from the index before launching a new one?

Hello. We are developing a new website with new pages. It is 10 times larger than the one that is now. The question arises, is it worth removing the old one from the index (which has almost no search traffic), before launching a new one on the same domain? And if you delete it from the serch console, will the restart in the index go well?

Before launching a new site:

  • set up 301 redirects from old pages to the most appropriate new ones (ideally, promoted for the same queries), especially if there are external links to old pages from good thematic donors.

This will allow you not to lose external links and transfer trust from old pages to new ones so that they quickly raise their positions.
Search engines will automatically change the URL in the issue when updating the issue, so no more action can be taken.

It is not necessary to delete, what is the reason for this. Just send the site for re-indexing after launching a new one.
