Should I pay extra for the i7 4790?

Hello. Does it make sense to overpay for the i7-4790 because of 8 threads or stop at the i5-4690k?
And yet, please tell us how the NT technology shows itself in practice, whether the performance increase will be noticeable and how much. Thank you.

Nobody knows, it depends on what you will do and how much the CPU will be loaded at the same time.
Depending on the task, the increase can be up to 80-90%, that is, almost twice. In general, google it, is it difficult, or what?

I use the i5-3570 , the top one, if I don’t confuse it, it costs about 6000 - I advise you to take a closer look.
Although it all depends on the purposes for which you want to use it. For games - the 5th is better, for everything else - the 7th.

For web development, in principle, i3 is enough, but I have not tried video editing on it. On i5 + ssd + 8 GB of RAM, there have never been any brakes at all, although there are often several projects open in phpStorm, dozens of tabs, layouts in photoshop.
