Should I mess with free Dot.tk domains?

Suddenly someone already dealt with these domains. I'm wondering if it's worth registering and using them, or is free cheese only found in a mousetrap?

For testing something it is quite suitable, for a production environment, no. It happens that their DNS servers are unavailable for several hours.

No. Yes, and Google will not approve.

For tests, free domains are quite suitable, but if the project is commercial, do not take a couple of dollars and buy a domain.
By the way, in addition to free .tk, if there is also .ml, .cf, .ga - these domains are also mostly free. And if you decide to use Freenom, it's better to use a third-party DNS, since there are many free ones.

Read the reviews, they are mostly negative. And I myself, for example, simply will not follow a link to a site in this zone, since the approximate contingent of sites there are either sites with an infection, or garbage dumps with a bunch of ads and redirects.
It is better to register a normal domain, they are now very inexpensive. And for test projects, keep third-level domains on your domain.

Domains are blocked for no reason, just like that. There were 3 domains with beautiful names, they just took them away and said that now they are VIP domains, so if you want to use them, pay. Then there were other 3 domains where there were a bunch of scripts, some of them were self-written and some were taken from free open sources, the domains were covered up, they said I was violating copyrights, they didn’t tell me which rights I was violating. tech support on me just hammered a bolt and is silent.
We draw conclusions about dot.tk: they throw, block just like that, those. zero support, this is a sharashka office and is NOT suitable for serious projects.

The freenom registrar is an absolutely irresponsible office with signs of a scammer. Yes, you can register a domain for free. Mine worked for about 2 years. Then - all of a sudden - I don't see them in the control panel. I am writing to support them - 0 response to mail, but now my IP from domains also falls off and now their advertising is there. But now they want money for adding domains to the profile, at 8.22 euros per item, simply because they saw a short name or popular / valuable words there - all of a sudden, yes, why do I need a long meaningless domain? Long chose from the free normal for nothing. And it was a gift.
There is no desire to carry money to them, because. full of reviews that paid domains are also easily blocked / deleted, similarly - no warnings and no support. The only thing from them was a warning about the renewal of the domain, which I regularly did, and for those domains that were taken away and transferred to paid ones, there were still many months before the renewal.
