Should I install 64-bit win-7?

In general, no . Better x32.
But some programs require x64 (popular ones are not). So if you are going to use these, then you simply have no choice.

I would put 64, the installer itself will tell you that it can’t, if bit depth can be determined by cpu-z . And even so, find the laptop model and expand the memory, if possible, to the maximum and set it to 10. 7 how old it is now
