Should I go to college to become a programmer (game industry)?

Hello. If anything, I live in St. Petersburg. Now I'm in the 9th grade, slowly learning c ++. I will soon have a choice - to go to college after this class, or to college after 11. It’s very hard to decide, my mother says that without a high school I will be nothing, that I won’t get on the budget, because

You stupid creature, fill up everything!
and doesn't want to pay for college trips at all. Scared for your future. So what is the best way to act, where, and for whom?

Do you have a choice? If yes, then choose a university in your specialty and at the same time study things that interest you on your own (yes, a program at a university may not coincide with your interests).
If there is no choice, then go to college, study in parallel. Then, if the college is affiliated with some university, you will be able to enter it under a shortened program.
Think, figure out how you will be better. Nobody here knows this. In two years, you can improve your knowledge of subjects for the Unified State Examination and enter where you need to. You just have to try really hard.

He himself went to sharaga, at the beginning of the last course he had already begun to work.
Go and, in parallel with your studies, learn everything you need in a specific direction - you can get at least some crust, which will be enough to get a job, and start working at the same time earlier than if you got a job after a university.

mother says that without the tower I will be nothing

She is right. Then you will regret that you didn’t get the tower, and get it in absentia.

Not confident? Go to university. A piece of paper will add ~20% to the chance of having a good job.
Are you confident in your abilities? Self-education and college to quickly enter the job market.
In principle, nothing prevents the same way to combine a university and self-education, the difference is only in the number of years that you have to study according to the program drawn up in accordance with GOST.
