Is it worth it to take mbp 15 at the end of 2014 or hope for new broadwell from intel?

Macbooks 13-14 years old, very powerful, with a very long battery life. If you need to work, then take it now. After 5 years, change to a new one.
Understand that the MacBook is not a trinket that becomes obsolete in six months, it is a serious tool designed for several years of work. And chasing the latest innovations, it makes no sense at all.
A lot of people are still sitting on 2009 and 2010 MacBooks, not to mention later models.
