Setting up TP-Link and D-Link

Start over. I am a girl. Like almost any girl (not considering that she studied to be an IT specialist, etc.) in networks and wireless networks, everything is very bad. Internet - the pursuit of cheapness, which provider will be more profitable. I used the Internet and everything was fine. But then my sister bought a laptop and needed a wi-fi router. We bought TP-Link TP-WR841ND. I set it up (itself! I didn’t even go to the forum, honestly!). After some time, the need came to change the provider, connected. They gave me a router. D-Link DIR-300. Well, as they gave, they came and delivered. I tried to refuse, but then I understood the reason why I was so persistently persuaded to take it. I will describe further. So. They put it, the old one was gathering dust for about a week on a shelf. For a week everything was fine, but then the problems began - sometimes the router does not see the Internet without reconnecting. Those. - I can spend 2-3 hours on the Internet, and then he will take it and pass out (not the Internet itself, but the wi-fi signal, as shown on the indicators on the front panel). Router - reboot. Everything is okay. And as in the cycle - 2-3 hours and again. I decided (for stupidity, probably, although I don’t know) to move to the good old TP-Link. But here the problem is the "master" who came and installed D-Link for me, configured the device as a switch (Internet + cable TV) and everything works on D-Link, but TP-Link is not like that. And how can I make the LAN port be the WAN port in TP-Link? Riddle ... If you say that you need to look at the D-Link settings and check everything there, I will answer right away. Fig there. Settings (like the good old TP-Link) do not go out (in the browser ofk). IPs were manually entered into the network settings, but to no avail. There are simply no settings. Tech support provider just does not pick up the phone. I will explain why I do not call the "master" who was with me. When he saw TP-Link, he shrugged and said that he was studying to be a cook in general, and then they gave him a piece of paper to learn and he doesn’t understand everything about it, that’s why he’s giving me D-Link now. Damn, for all the water probably lost the question. Cable TV only works when there is an Internet cable in the switch and only when there is an Internet cable in the switch, tricks a la "TV to one Wi-Fi, Internet to another and Wi-Fi between each other" or "Just plug the cords, TP will do everything himself" - will not work, tried. I want TP Link. For D-Link to pay more, given that he does not plow. I was looking for settings on the Internet to make me cable + Internet in one TP-Link, I can’t find how to build bridges between ports ... I looked at the settings of the router (192.168.1.1) I can’t find anything similar .. . Someone faced? Or can you suggest what to do to make it work? Along the way, you need to make a switch out of TP-Link, but how?

Try to determine the d-link firmware. There is a suspicion that there is a non-native firmware.
I recommend that you install OpenWRT on the tp-link, it has a lot more settings.

Ahem. Have you seen the beginning? .... In connection with this question. How do I install OpenWRT on a tp link?

Does your ISP provide internet via PPPoE?
Please name the exact model of D-Link-a and the hardware revision (H / W Ver. on the nameplate glued to the bottom of the router).
What firmware is currently installed on D-Link?
PS
With TP-Link, even after flashing, it’s not a fact that it will work out: I rarely met TP-Link that adequately supports IP-TV (I emphasize IP-TV, not cable, don’t confuse it) and are able to organize a bridge between ports.

To find out the IP of the router and go to the web interface, look at what gateway address it gave you. This will be the address of the router.

Is it just me or do you speak Chinese?=\
I don't know about PPoE.
H / W Ver 85.
How can I know what firmware is there, well. It does not go to the IP address of the router. I found out the gateway addresses both through cmd and through network management. Well, it does not come and that's it. Neither wired nor wireless.

Check provider and rate. It may be possible to build on this information.

It seems to you, since I speak pure Russian :)
Not PPoE, but PPPoE call a spade a spade.
Did the installer leave you an account card with a username and password? If yes, then you can reset the router to the factory settings with the RESET button, upload the latest firmware and configure again.
H / W Ver is not 85, but B5 probably? Download this firmware.
Did you connect to it via Wi-Fi? And what IP did he give you? Is there a computer that is connected to the router by cable?
PS
TV set-top box (or whatever you have there) works regardless of which port it is connected to or only in a specific port? If it works in any port, then it is not surprising that you did not get into the web interface.

Card? No, I don't have any cards.
The same D-Link is connected via cable (it was before when I started installing the firmware on TP), IP addresses ... I think screenshots should be taken, otherwise you take me for an idiot: gyazo.com/c9b938c322fb00029009c9da3bb247cb =)
And yes, the prefix does not depend on the port, but how can I get there then?

Did the router give you this IP? O_o
This is not the same IP. Not surprisingly, the router's web interface did not open.
Connect to your D-Link (via cable over Wi-Fi, it doesn't matter if only to D-Link), then go to the command line and enter ipconfig / all and show what this command displays here.

Okeeeeee... : gyazo.com/a01280cb303f17762f21fd7e5ab231ed here is the IP. Here is the result of trying to access the web interface: gyazo.com/43fde1b61ee310a2e0e92828ec424550

Oh idea. Then try switching your TP-Link to DHCP Relay mode, maybe it will work :)

And another question, how do you connect to Wi-Fi? What is the name of your wireless network and is it password protected?

K

@Karuselia

My laptop remembered the password, I automatically log in. Why do you need a login with a password? :)

Subscribed to this detective... I
suspect that the killer is a watchman!
I mean, if it’s normal with the router, but unsuccessful with the Internet, can you try to clone a poppy? *
UPD: The best way (IMHO) is to set up TP-link from scratch, after learning the login password from the provider, as well as the connection method.
... time "everything is so complicated there."
