Setting up the Cisco SPA 122 "in reverse" - is it possible?

In general, an idea crept into my head and does not give me rest. I can’t understand which religion does not allow using the voice gateway in the opposite direction, in order to send an analog line to the network through the voice gateway and pick it up with a SIP client or another gateway. The standard settings obviously don't allow this, and on my Digium board all ports died. Can eat a variant of type to roll an asterisk? After all, the gateway has all the hardware capabilities! The bottom line is that I have a city number, an office in a neighboring house and optics go there from me. So I decided not to pay for porting the phone to drag the phone to the office in such a way ...

122 is not suitable for this. Like all other simple voice gateways with 1 analog line input. At best, they allow you to make / receive calls from the bodies of the device connected to the gateway with a wire, through this analog line, but not in any way to transfer it into a sip view. This requires special devices, a different class of sip adapters and not simple voice gateways. Here is an example - https://habr.com/ru/company/arttel/blog/395875/
