Seopult API usage examples?

Seopult has an API to automate some processes.
The developer's site has very poor API documentation, only one example is given, and that one is extremely limited.
Attempts to use the api were unsuccessful. Perhaps from ignorance of some aspects of xmlrpc, perhaps php, maybe something else.
Personally, I was able to complete the authorization request and get the cookie. Then either "user error" or "Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Request header field is missing ':' separator."
The administration of seopult gave me access to the API.
