Should I close internal links if there are already 116 of them?

Today I checked the site, and it turns out that 116 internal links are indexed, the site is young. Will this affect website optimization and promotion in the future? If so, how do you close them? wp engine.
I read a lot of blogs, but everywhere they interpret differently, then it’s worth closing because you can get under the ACS, then you shouldn’t close it ... as always, everyone interprets in their own way ..

At a basic level, it is worth closing internal links only to pages that are not particularly useful and / or contain duplicate information. At a deeper level, you already need to figure out where and how you should distribute the weight within the site.
As for your specific resource - perhaps you should not close the links, but simply make sure that they do not exist? For example, in the feed for each post you have as many as 5 identical links to the post.
The date can be made without a link, the link to the comments can be removed altogether, or only the counter can be left (because not only everyone will immediately go to the comments, few will do it). The link to the rubric is also doubtful in this place, but inside the post it makes sense to indicate it - so that the user (if necessary) can see what else is interesting in the rubric.
ps Regarding the number of links per page - earlier there were recommendations to stick to 100 internal links, now the power and capabilities of robots are higher, so this is not particularly relevant. It's just worth looking at whether these links are needed on the page or not.
