Selling Windows XP

Greetings, Habrasobshchestvo! Here's the situation: about a month ago, a joyful acquaintance called and said that he had bought a licensed Windows from his company. When I came to him, I saw two large packages with Windows XP SP2. Previously, I heard from comrades who are official representatives of Microsoft that support for XP has been discontinued and that they (representatives) do not have the right to install it at all. Only Vista and 7-ku. Therefore, the question arises. Are the versions that my friend bought "normal"? Or is it, to put it mildly, a money scam? I would like to know more from knowledgeable people.

If the versions are not OEM and you have all the documents on hand, you have not violated anything. If OEM, read what is written on the boxes.

What is written on them? What version of Windows?
