Selecting a server configuration?

Good day to all!
Please advise either a solution is ready, or the main configuration parameters of the server on which the virtual servers will be running, performing the following tasks:

  1. FreeBSD - as a gateway to the Internet
  2. SQL server for 1C base
  3. Terminal server under 1C, maybe on Windows, maybe under Vine
  4. NAS
  5. Apache with a company site, possibly ngnix in front of it
  6. It is also possible to collect data from various network devices and write to the database

At the moment, there are ~50 users on the Internet + ~30 on 1C SCP, with a rapid increase in the amount of data in the database. In the future, it is planned to expand the number of users to 60 both on the Internet and on 1C. It is possible to transfer all 1C users to the WEB interface, and move away from the terminal server. You need iron that can withstand loads with a margin for the future. Site traffic is expected to be more than 100,000 per month, approximately evenly throughout the month. What is better to choose, a branded server, or build it yourself? Budget 250 000 r. maximum 300 000 rub. What is the best hypervisor to use?

1. Keeping a company website on your own server is not a thankful task. Buy a VPS for it if it has a lot of traffic.
2. Virtualization is good when reserved. Within the framework of this budget, there will not be enough money for a portable shelf, and therefore assess the risks - downtime, recovery time. If you lose more than the equipment costs, increase your budget and buy more SAN\NAS.
3. HP DL 380 G7 is enough for your tasks with goodies in the form of memory and hard drives under the budget.
Don't forget a UPS and a backup power supply.

Are you afraid to put all your eggs in one basket? When the site will be DDos-it, 1C will not feel it?
Usually, under 1C, a separate MS Server (RDP) + MSSQL or CentOS / Ubuntu_Server (1c is a thin client) is allocated.

On such a budget and with such tasks, it is better, perhaps, to do it yourself.
Look towards the Twin SuperMicro. Something like 1026TT-TF
50000 - platform
50000 - processors (E5620)
36000 - 110000 - memory (48 - 96 GB for each of the two nodes, 4GB modules can be taken regular, 8GB - REG / ECC, before buying you need to agree with the supplier about the possibility of exchanging working modules for other working ones - I didn’t have such problems with SupreMicro, but there are rumors that all the memory may not start) The rest
of the budget is disks. You can regularly install 4 fast SATA (cheaper, but relatively slower), you can stuff SAS controllers and fast drives (more expensive).

Well, I would immediately go to GoldPartner from HP with such a question ... and what is your preference in brands? And the hypervisor, if you don’t go deep enough, is ESXi, since there are no details in the virtualization task.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
