Selecting a DVR
Gentlemen, I’m interested in a DVR in the car, what I want:
one central unit that could be hidden in the glove box or under the seat, connecting two cameras (front / rear), better with cigarette lighter power than battery. The presence of a display is not important (better without it, in fact), HD is desirable at least 720p. Tell me something please.

Why from a cigarette lighter? It seems that you can make additional wiring and bring the wire directly to the place where the DVR is attached.
Registrars with a separate road block under the worst parameters, i.e. it will be cheaper to buy two good HD recorders than one average multi-channel recorder with two cameras.
There are no normal DVRs (and bad ones too) so that there are two cameras and they can be spaced apart. I was interested. I also wanted something similar.
In theory, you can pervert and buy an ordinary iron DVR. Naturally, only simple hard drives cannot be used in cars, since any accident or bump can disable them. There are IDE-CF or IDE-SD adapters, but here we run into the size of the memory card and its high cost compared to a conventional hard drive. If there is a lot of money, then (I have little idea how) it is possible to connect more than one such “small IDE”, but somehow through a disk array. As a result, it will be possible to write more volume.
