Search in Joomla does not work in Chrome mobile. How to fix?

Good afternoon!
The standard search on the site on mobile devices does not work when entering a request in Russian - in the search bar, instead of Russian letters, some kind of krakozyabry appears (when requesting in English, everything works).
And what's interesting: I see a glitch only in the Chrome mobile browser (in other browsers it's normal), in iOS it's the other way around - everything works in Chrome, and in Safari it's also buggy (only English letters work).
I think the problem is in the template (homemade template), because checked on the standard Protostar template - everything works.
Tell me, please, what could be the matter?
