Scrum in custom development and with a remote team

Please tell me which way to go if Scrum is used in custom development and team members are in different cities? Interested in both methodology and processes (advice), but mostly technical.

I looked towards Jira (with a plugin for Agile), but did not find an implementation in a similar situation.

Here in this topic, a friend painted Scrum , if you have freelancers, this is a good scheme.

We do stand-ups in google hangouts and use redmine for bug tracking.
We work with redmine from the IDE through plugins, we use Skype for communication.

We have a table in google docs instead of a board, jira as bugtracking, stand-ups, skype planning.
