Samsung R505 and Windows 7. How to replace the battery correctly?
Available laptop Samsung R505. Some time ago, a notification appeared that the battery was very worn out. I ordered a new one and it arrived. However, the laptop perceives it as old - i.e. looking at the battery parameters (in AIDA64, in BatteryInfoView) I see the old capacity, to which, apparently, the battery is charging.
There is an idea that the battery is still charged to full capacity (based on voltage), but the wrong capacity, if I'm not mistaken, is used to calculate the remaining time from the current charge. Which is not very good.
I tried to use the Smart Battery Calibration built into the BIOS - the battery landed to zero and refused to charge. Spent half a day on the windowsill, cooled down - again began to charge. The capacity visible from the utilities has not changed.
Is there any way to "reset" the battery settings to default, or recalibrate it normally?
