There is a good piece of iron TP-LINK TL-WR841ND. 300 Mbps on Wi-Fi is promised.
Otherwise, there is something on the market:
NetGear WNR1000
TP-LINK TL-WR741ND
ZyXEL Keenetic Lite
ASUS RT-N10
All models are very similar, the design is different :) 802.11n - 150 Mbps, 4 LAN ports - 100 Mbps.
As an option, buy another DIR-300, but it’s better to add a little and buy a DIR-320, compared to the DIR-300, there is a usb port and dd-wrt is perfectly installed on it
I advise you to pay attention to the 802.11n standard. For some time, I began to notice that WiFi speed was sorely lacking. But with 802.11n it's already better. Once you try it, you won't be able to refuse. I really don’t get the price, at least 2.5-3 thousand. But for me it's better to save up, but to buy a good thing. I have an Asus RT-N16 - but it's very expensive. But the ports are gigabit. There is a simpler model Asus RT-N13U. You can look for other manufacturers, I only got acquainted with these. You can put DD-WRT on them.
And I would recommend D-Link DIR-615. At home, a string of two laptops plus a working desktop and a server - no complaints! I don’t even know what to say - ask for details if you are interested.
True, I don’t know, the price is very close to your limit.
I reflashed FOR Dir-320
, picked up a screw, finally it’s convenient ...
