This issue has been discussed on the official Figma forum , and several times . While Figma cannot give a concrete answer whether such a feature will be included at all.
Right now, the best way to do this is through Photoshop, and then export it all to SVG, and import it into Figma.

You can make text in a circle in Figma using the Figma To Path plugin , here's how to do it:

  1. Draw a circle or circle
  2. Select the text and the circle, the plugin will display the inscription: "curve and text selected", press the Link button in the plugin in order to link the text and the circle
  3. The plugin will create a copy of the inscription and arrange the letters in a circle, then configure the parameters in the plugin, such as alignment to the center or edge, direction of the text along the circle / reverse
  4. Select the original text that you linked and adjust the spacing between letters/Letter Spacing on the properties panel on the Text tab. If the text is short, you can increase the spacing between the letters so that the text takes up the entire length of the circle. You can also adjust the text size and thickness.

An important feature: if the plugin window is open, you can overwrite or edit any parameters of the source text and the text around the circle will also change instantly.
