Returning statics from hetzner storage and VDS to simplecloud, is it worth bothering?

Any information would be helpful for me!
At the moment there is a site with a small attendance of ~ 1500-2000 hosts per day.
It is hosted on VDS: (4x2000 MHz / 8 GB / 200 GB)
I chose tariffs exclusively for the volume of the hard disk, and this volume is already approaching the limit, so I am considering the following options.
Buy on hetzner, 500GB storage and transfer the site itself to the SSD to simplecloud.
I have never encountered such a section of the site (there were attempts, but in the end I spat on all this), so I want to upload files via FTP to hetzner storage, and on the site itself (on simplecloud) nginx to pull these files through a proxy with hetzner. Does it make sense? And is it even possible to do this?)
Another question is in the selection of the VDS itself, you need to choose the optimal result, but how to calculate the load and check whether the site will work. The site runs on Node.js, I look to the side: 4GB RAM, 1 CPU core, 40GB SSD disk (700r)
Confuses 1 core, but it makes no sense to take a more expensive one
