Resources for learning Magento?

Documentation for this CMS seemed too "scarce". Can you possibly recommend books, series of articles, video tutorials on this CMS? Interested specifically in administration, optimization, creation of topics, extensions. I started learning Zend additionally, how deep do you need to dive into it?

If you already have experience with some kind of MVC framework, then this is enough. It is better to learn Zend right away within Magento. And you will learn Zend, and get to know the architecture of Magenta better. As they say, two birds with one stone.
Something other than the official documentation, alas, I can not advise anything. At one time, I began to study Magenta from it, and then - picking third-party extensions. This turned out to be enough for me, so I just googled specific problems and incomprehensible things. Most often, I found tips and solutions to problems on stackoverflow.com.

Practice helps a lot, so if there are no orders, but there is a desire to study, try to create a typical store with modern goodies, the theory before that will naturally not be superfluous, but a purely theory alone will not give an idea of \u200b\u200bhow to use it.
