Replacing DVD drive with HDD?
Notebook Lenovo ideapad z710 instead of a DVD drive installed a DEXP AT-DH01 adapter. The BIOS sees both disks, in the settings the priority is on the old disk, but os is not loaded.
If you pull out a new hdd, wait until os boots up and only then insert the adapter with the disk, then the device manager will not see it.
The adapter is correct. If you insert an old hdd into it and boot the system only with it, then everything will work.
What can be done in this situation?
The adapter has a switch with three positions, in all positions the situation is the same
. UPD:
The standard one has a native hdd with an operating system. Extra in adapter.
I formatted an additional hdd, the system saw it and works with it. But loading os is crooked.
If you just press the power button, then the download does not go beyond the Lenovo logo, it does not give any error, but the screen just flashes and shows the logo again. To enter the system, you need to press the recovery key, then a window appears asking you to enter the BIOS, continue normal boot, or choose what to boot yourself. So to enter the system you need to manually select the desired OS.
Only two OS on the main hdd.
