Replacing a charger for an ASUS laptop, can it be used not quite as it was?

On my last charge, the following was written:
Output 19V 6.32A.
Out of order, but to buy the same is either expensive or not available at all.
I found on the internet a charger for my asus with the following parameters: 19 V 4.74A.
Can it be used? I mostly work from the network, that is, charging is always on.

Not! The new power supply is not designed for the power that your computer can consume under heavy load on the system, so although it is not dangerous for the computer, the unit itself can turn off under heavy load, it can fail due to overheating, even block fire.
However, if you use it only as a charger, then 4 A is enough.

It will not immediately burn out, it has current protection. But it will work to the limit. And the laptop will charge very slowly, if at all.
