Repair and firmware of RAM. Is it possible, and who does it?
There are two SODIMM DDR3 8GB Samsung M471B1G73EB0-YK0 sticks. One of them suddenly started to fail. With it, the system constantly crashes, Memtest gives a bunch of errors on it. Without it, everything is stable, only 8 GB less :)
It seems that they write on the Internet that they are being reflashed somehow, but there is little information, and for some reason no one does this for money. Or I didn't find it. Although logically it is possible, probably, if, say, one of the eight modules fails, use only the remaining seven, or something else like that?
Do they do anything in such cases? Is someone doing this?
Or is it better to kill and buy a new one?

Nobody is doing it. Because there is nothing to flash there.
It is enough to study the memory device and then such questions will not arise.
