Remote work in the USA/Canada?

Let's say we are considering remote work for an IT office from the USA/Canada. The difference in time, let's say, somewhere around 10-11 hours.
The following questions arise
1) You work, you work remotely, everything seems to be normal and ... suddenly you don’t understand some code or task. What to do? Write an RFC and wait a day for a response?
2) What is the salary per hour for the average remote worker in the states? Taxes?
3) In the West, as far as I understand, there are practically no holidays - is that so?
Share, please, any information if it is not difficult. Thank you.

@Kokcuk

I work remotely in the USA.
1) I write to someone who needs a question and if there is no answer for 20-30 minutes, this means that everyone is sleeping, I take another task. When they answer, I continue.
2) From $15 to $60 per hour, I don't pay any taxes.
3) There are no holidays and that's fine. The rest system is much more logical there, you just say "in 2 weeks I'll have to get off for a few days." Naturally, you are not paid for these few days.
You work - you get paid, you don't work - you don't get paid, you don't work too often - you go through the woods.

This usually means that you will have to work at night if you need close interaction. At least you will have to be in touch for several hours in the late evening / early morning.
Vacations are really bad, focus on short breaks (up to a week) at your own expense.
