Is 5 hours a day for learning programming the norm?

I'm learning java and don't know how many hours to study a day.

Compare with food. Starvation and gluttony are two extremes. In the first case, there is not enough for the full-fledged work of the whole organism, in the second case, food is simply not digested and gives rise to diseases (so forget the comments about training 24 hours a day). But everyone has their own rules. Depends on ability, intensity, physical condition, learning style, room temperature, etc. Choose experimentally - study from the moment when you have a calm, slightly cheerful mood until the moment when a little fatigue has already appeared. Add breaks. Over time, increase the time a little. Only such an analysis (and not a toaster) will give an accurate answer.

Highly.
You have to do it 24 hours a day at least!! You should fall asleep thinking about programming, you should dream about code and how best to do what you did during the day. In the morning, opening your eyes before washing and having breakfast, you should try to do what you dreamed of. Your basic human need is your code. Code is sex, sex is code.

Yes, this is the norm if they are really effectively used and not allowed to sit
