Remote work in the USA and Europe - how is it / was it for you?

It's no secret that finding a remote job somewhere in the Czech Republic, or in the USA with adequate managers and leaders, and with a wage much higher (at a rate of $25/hour, for example) is much easier than in Russia.
I heard that a lot of smart guys from Russia and Ukraine are working remotely and working in the USA, Sweden and other countries.
So, whoever has experience, describe how you found a job, how the interview went, and in general about your impressions.
I repeat - this is not about freelancing, but about pure remote working for some startup / company. You can describe any direction - everything is of interest from the web to window applications.

So remote work in 90% of cases begins with a freelance thread. You make orders several times, the customer evaluates you and in the future turns only to you. After a while, you realize that you are already working remotely for him.
It’s almost impossible to find a clean remote right away, IMHO.
