Need advice on choosing a direction in IT as a programmer?

Hello everyone, I wanted to listen to the advice of people who could have had such a life situation, namely. In general, there is a main job and everything seems to be fine. The salary is not bad. They pay everything on time. There are no problems with this, but there is a problem in that this work is not related to IT.
Until 2016, he worked specifically in the field of IT for 5 years as a full-time programmer, solving various problems for a company in such Yap as C # PHP java (for android), well, it seems like a little bit of everything. After 2016, I stopped doing in-depth (if I may say so) programming. At the moment, I feel that knowledge of PL has become worse and worse, I personally want to develop in this direction, but the problem is that we do not have a big city and I only consider remote work. Tell me in which area to pay attention so that the income is small and in demand. Personally, I'm leaning towards android development. Is there anyone who has or had a similar problem? any employer doesn't care what you own. he cares if you can solve his problems.
and your task is to convince him of this.
I came to the office more than once and broke the whole process completely.
at first it was painful, then they understood the cuteness of the new nishtyakov.
if you want real advice: there are no easy ways and unambiguous answers. do what you like and do it better than others. then you will have both satisfaction and money.
