Remote video viewing?
Hello.
We need ideas on how to implement a comfortable viewing of movies from a remote server.
There is:
the first apartment with a router with dd-wrt firmware,
a piece of iron with i5.6gb, a gt240 1gb video card.
On the piece of iron is win7 and acts as a file trash can over the network, a torrent rocking chair and watching movies via hdmi on a TV.
The second apartment, with a router with firmware from Tomato,
A laptop with an i5 processor and a 620m video card, connected via hdmi to a TV, it is supposed to be used as a media player.
Internet speed sq1 -
80/40
sq2 - 50/20 are
connected to one provider and located in the same area.
The question is how to set up a comfortable viewing of films, suppose > 10gb which is downloaded and located on the server in k1 from k2 using the equipment mentioned above.

and the speed of the link between the apartments is enough?
ideally - a tunnel between subgrids and then standard things like cifs, dlna, etc.
but the tunnel, even without encryption, will devour the link speed, depending on the performance of the routers, it can be 5-50Mbps
for 10+ gb rips, five megabits is most likely not enough
