Remote debugging a Qt application?

Hello!
There are two computers: WindowsXP and WindowsXP Embedded. I want to try debugging over the network (Ethernet).
I found an excellent article: habrahabr.ru/blogs/qt_software/124695/ , but it is for linux systems.
Apparently, it will be necessary to use gdb and gdbserver.
Tell me how you can debug, where and what should be run?
Maybe someone has already seen articles on this topic?
or just poke where all this can be read.

I did not quite understand the terms of the problem.
Questions:
1) What is the operating system on which you will be debugging?
2) What is the target system that you will be debugging?
In any case, I recommend to look into the famous article:
