Data storage

Remote data storage?

Our task is to store documents on a remote foreign server, to ensure convenient work with these documents for several users at the same time.

  1. FTP "on the forehead" - will not provide either competent collaboration or convenience in working with documents.
  2. We have a server in Switzerland (it has a website), you can organize work there, but it seems that this is not the intended use of the server. There may be issues of security, privacy and data security.
  3. We found the E-nigma system, but so far it has servers only in Russia. Those. in case of problems with our company, the prosecutor's office will still receive our documents without any problems.

Please advise the correct solution.
Thank you.

In any case, the prosecutor's office will receive your documents without any problems.
Put PuTTY+Xming for users, and work on a remote Linux terminal (with graphics, of course).
If P or K arrives, turn off the remote server.
This is a way when no cached documents remain on the local computers of users.

Depends on the degree of secrecy, volume and type of data.
For example, you can try dropbox through the web interface.

Anonymously rented Dedik abroad - any provider, any OS. Solving the problem costs around 50 euros per month.
With a slight load, you can use a virtual machine - it's even cheaper.

In principle, a similar feature works for me through No machine. This is something like RDP but under linux. If there is no need for a yellow program, then generally an ideal thing.
If you really turn on paranoia, then add a cheap VPS with VPN to the chain. When the connection is broken, it will not even be clear where RDP lives.

Rent a server and set up a Windows share on it and that's it.
