06/19/2011 I managed to buy this unit in the DNS store (Nizhny Novgorod, Sovetskaya Square).
I found a defect at home: A strong hiss in the speaker when playing any sound (conversation, music, system notifications) and within a few seconds after, this disgrace ends with a click (the speaker turns off). If the music hadn't been so loud in the store, I wouldn't have bought it.
06/27/2011 wrote a claim to this "glorious" store demanding a refund.
All the managers who watched the phone in the store turned out to be hard of hearing (nowhere tighter), did not hear anything and said that a quality check was required. I left the phone with me until the quality check. The store agreed with this, promised to call from the SC of the store and inform the place and time of the PC in the authorized SC.
Of course no one called. I myself called their SC, they said that they did not know anything and I had to wait for a written answer from the store.
On 06/28/2011, a friend called from the store and said that I should give the phone to the store, otherwise they would refuse the claim, saying that I was preventing the PC from being carried out, although the store told me something completely different. As it turned out later, he was too lazy to go to their own SC in order to convey a claim to them.
07/01/2011 was himself in their SC. As expected, they were unaware. They canceled the claim, they said to wait for a call. They did not look at the phone, it remained with me.
07/04/2011 called, made an appointment at an authorized SC.
07/06/2011 arrived with a phone at the ASC at the appointed time. By the way, 10 days have already passed, what kind of brakes are they ...
Here is the most interesting. They looked at the phone in front of me, recognized the presence of noise (in words), but did not give the act. They say that such a feature of phones of this brand, they have already brought them with such complaints. The noise level is high, but not enough so that the interlocutor could not be heard, so if nothing was heard at all, then they would issue an act on the presence of a defect, and so they say, they can only give out that the phone is working. They said that they would write a letter to LG with a request for an official comment, the answer would be in a couple of days.
Something to me is very doubtful that the answer will be in my favor. The phone stayed with me.
Everyone who (except for the hard-of-hearing managers in the store) gave a listen agrees that it hisses strongly and interferes with talking.
Total: 4 hard of hearing managers, one strange friend from the SC and one phone that is unpleasant to call.
What do you advise? Are there any documents that define the maximum noise level of the phone?

I'm having problems with an LG P500 phone I bought 2 months ago from DNS in Cheboksary. Since I already managed to use the phone, I sent it for repair and replacement of the board.

Check the firmware version and production date of the device.
The production date is determined by the serial number, the first 3 digits.
For example: 012 is December 2010. 104 - April 2011.
The trick is that all P500s produced before December 24, 2010 have several defects that only SC can fix.
And try updating the firmware, many glitches in phones are treated with firmware ... this is of course if you want to try to solve the problem, and not return the phone ...
