Redirect to subdomain for a folder via RewriteRule?

Good afternoon.
There is a gorod.site.ru subdomain.
It is necessary to make requests to site.ru/gorod go to gorod.site.ru , but not as a redirect, but so that the site.ru/gorod
domain remains. There is a similar topic where they do the opposite. Redirect to a subdomain folder via RewriteRule
For some reason I can't do it for myself.
If there is a way via symlink in shh (apach 2.2)
