After switching the php version from 5 to 7.0, phpmyadmin stopped running.
Gives the following error:
The json extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration
Installing php7.0-json says that the newest version of json is already installed. At the same time, there is no json.ini file in /etc/php/7.0/mods-available. If you switch php to version 5, then phpmyadmin starts.

What does phpinfo() say about json?

When I switch to 7, there is no json section in phpinfo() at all.
