Recommend a laptop for comfortable work and study

I am entering St. Petersburg, so I urgently need a laptop that will replace my home PC.
In addition, every day you will need to carry it with you

What you need in a laptop:

  • Battery life 5-6 hours or more
  • A filling that allows you to comfortably, i.e. without lags, work with Visual Studio and Photoshop
  • Screen diagonal no more than 15.6 inches, and smaller is better (13-14 inches)
  • Small in thickness, light in weight
  • Budget: 25-40k
  • No drive would be a plus

PS: Don't offer Macbook Air, there is no visual studio on mac :-(

Cheaper ...
More expensive ...
The most fundamental difference is in the quality of the matrix.
for 5xx - “like everyone else”, for 9xx - an analogue of ISP
Matte, thank God, for both ...

Then I will offer Macbook Air, which will be supplied with the usual Windows 7/8.

Lenovo X220 (or X230) with nine-cell battery and IPS screen. It works together with the docking station just as a replacement for the desktop, i.e. at home, the keyboard and monitor are external, and the laptop screen becomes a second monitor. Very satisfied. The mass and thickness are not that very small for 12.5 inches, but on the other hand, a normal non-ultrabook percent.
Air is good, but the keyboard for Windows is not very good for my taste, and at the price of Lenov from eBay it cost almost half as much.

Lenovo x220 or x230 (x220 is better). According to the declared performance characteristics, there is nothing better, for sure. I've been using it for a year now - I'm happy as an elephant.

A friend bought a Packard Bell EasyNote NX69 - it's a good fit for your purposes.

I would advise you to take a closer look at the Lenovo thinkpad T series. There are different configurations for any financial possibilities. For 3 years I have been using only similar models both at home and at work. Terribly pleased.
