What are the dimensions of 2.5-inch HDDs in thickness?

I want to buy the largest (in terms of capacity) hard drive in a laptop, but I remember a story that happened to me a couple of years ago: I ordered a terabyte drive for my boss, but it turned out to be thick and did not fit into the hard drive compartment provided in the computer, I had to rent and buy a more modest one. How is the situation with this now - have 2.5-inch terabytes of standard thickness already appeared? What are these thicknesses (standard and thick, in millimeters, there is no caliper on hand to measure it yourself)? By the way, now I saw a slim version in the catalog and vice versa (which, I think, may also not be a very suitable option in some situations) - this is also interesting about this.

Thickness of 2.5-inch HDDs:
9.5 mm - the most common "standard" thickness, there are quite a lot of HDD 1Тb offers;
7 mm - thin (Thin), for example TOSHIBA < MQ02ABF100 > 2.5" 5400rpm 16Mb;
5 mm - ultrathin (Ultrathin) for ultrabooks, but the volume does not exceed 500Gb yet, for example Seagate Laptop Ultrathin < ST500LT032 > 2.5" 5400rpm 16Mb;
12.5 mm - sometimes used in laptops of the "Desktop PC replacement" class, for example HDD 1 Tb SATA-II 300 Western Digital Scorpio Blue <WD10TPVT> 2.5" 5200rpm 8Mb
15 mm - for a mobile computer, as a rule it will not fit in a regular laptop, e.g. Western Digital Green < WD20NPVX > 2.5" 8Mb.
